MagicBean Academy is a music school dedicated to early childhood creative music education, specializing in Kindermusik (newborn to age 4). We work with parents to provide a joyful, non-competitive learning environment where children are encouraged to tap their full potential at their own pace and according to their individual learning style. We also offer piano and music theory classes to kids ages five and up.

MagicBean Academy's director and lead educator, Meggie Hu, holds a Master of Education degree with a specialization in Early Childhood Music Education from UBC, and has many years of experience teaching music to children.
Meggie attends music conferences and seminars annually to learn about new research findings and educational approaches to improve her early childhood teaching skills.
Young children learn best in a stimulating environment which offers multi-sensory experiences. If a child can experience a concept by seeing, touching, smelling, and hearing, he will understand and remember the concept better.
We have a wide range of age-appropriate musical instruments and props in our classrooms to provide your child with an enriched music experience.
We send out newsletters which contain information on activities that you can enjoy with your child at home using the At Home Materials. You will learn how these activities benefit your child's development.
We offer a collection of parenting magazines in the waiting area at the Richmond location, which gives you the most up-to-date information on child-rearing and more.
We make it a priority to sanitize all instruments and props in our classroom with Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Products to prevent the spread of germs. Anti-bacterial gel is provided in the waiting area for your convenience.
